Kierra Douglas Owner, RMT, Arvigo Practitioner and Self Care Instructor.

Kierra grew up in Kelowna, BC and has found her passions in the human body and health/wellness. After taking a weekend course at Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy, she was hooked on understanding how massage affects the human body. She then enrolled and graduated from their program in August 2017. While studying, she wrote and published a research paper titled Evaluating the impact of Swedish Massage on the Shoulder Girdle and C4-T1 Nerve Roots Post Injection Therapy. It received international attention at the International Massage Therapy Research Conference.  She is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of BC and the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of BC.

In September 2022, Kierra took part in an intensive 36.5 hour training in The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage Therapy®. She is honored to be able to integrate this sacred work to her practice to continue to help her patients with digestive and/or reproductive concerns.

Kierra finds great joy in creating a welcoming space that helps her clients unplug and unwind from the world around them. She utilizes various techniques such as swedish massage, myofascial release, neuromuscular techniques and maya abdominal massage® techniques to help you reach your health and wellness goals. Her professional interests are in chronic pain, injection therapy, stress reduction, digestive health, reproductive health, and pre/post joint replacement.

Kierra will be on Maternity leave until March 1st, 2024. She looks forward to welcoming you back to the clinic soon. :)
